Next generation iPhone in MANY colours?

Iphone4ghdinmanycolors
With nothing more to back it up than vague rumours of something exciting at this June's World Wide Developers Conference (including a keynote from Steve Jobs), and rumours of a white panelled version of the iPhone, it was only a matter of time before there was talk of iPhones becoming available in more colours (or colors, if you are a colonial).

I thought I'd hate that, but this render has changed my mind. I still think the Black and White versions are the most 'masculine', but I could see my wife going a bomb on any of the other three colours!

I don't like the rumoured new 4G look. The current design not only looks better in my opinion and looks more finished but feels great to hold, mainly due to the rounded design of the body.

The new squared off design just doesn't look like it'll feel as good to hold and I'd say that quite important.

From the images i've seen the proposed product just doesn't look to have that 'quality' finish and attention to detail that Apple are respected for… It'll be a step back in my opinion.

I honestly thought this rumour to be a fake or at most a false lead by Apple because it just dosen't look like an Apple product.

I for one will be disappointed… but ill still get one :-)

I think I'd have to have one for six months or so before I made a considered judgement… anybody care to fund that for me?

Luke… I don't mind the new design… although I think it's a bit more of mainstream 'mobile phone' look than the original iPhone. But there's so many iPhone lookalikeys out there now, Apple have lost their standout. But you are far from alone in your opinion, and rumours are Apple are holding back another design that looks more closely like the 3G one. Hmmm… Its starting to sound like my original suspicions that these rumoured 4G iPhones are just a smoke screen and false lead to put people off track.

Just seems odd that it doesn't follow the Mac look and ethos and how many recent leaks there have been…

Have to wait and see I guess.
